I want to thank the Ministry that supports our sports activities, the Company Serbia Zijin Copper, which is helping us organize this competition for the second year in a row, and the Club for Sports and Recreation of the Disabled People in Bor. The help we receive from the Chinese company in the promotion of our activities is of priceless importance and I hope that it will become traditional – said Janketić. He added that the association has ambitions for the competitions of people with disabilities to gain an international character and that he hopes to cooperate with Chinese athletes.

The Company cooperates with the Sports Association of the Disabled People of Serbia for the second time and it is glad to be able to host the best chess players again. Chess is probably the oldest game that has survived to this day. They say that if it is played by masters, luck is practically excluded. I wish you all a good strategy, many wise moves, and may the best win – said the representative of the Office for ESG in Serbia Zijin Copper Feng Kui.

Chess games were played according to the Swiss system, which is characterized by the fact that in each round the players have as opponents those competitors who are closest to them in terms of points in the table. The club from Bor was represented by master candidate Sreten Stojanović and Zoran Mišić.

The first place in the individual competition was won by Dušan Mladenović from the Association for Sport and Recreation of the Disabled People in Novi Sad, the second was Dragan Kozomara from Kula, and the third place was Zlatko Parnicki from Bačka Palanka.

In the team competition, the first place went to the Society for Sport and Recreation of the Disabled People in Kula, second to the Association for Sport and Recreation of the Disabled People in Novi Sad, and the team from Bačka Palanka won the third place.
