Safe market and good prices for local honey producers
SZK . – On August 15, a ceremony was held in Slatina for the buying up of beekeeping products from local producers. On this occasion, the Support Program for the beekeeping industry of Bor was presented at the Buzej farm. In the upcoming period, SERBIA ZIJIN COPPER will support local producers of domestic products, especially beekeepers. Although Bor is a mining town, the number of beekeepers is increasing. There are about 500 registered honey producers in the city of copper, and the Company will give its best to establish cooperation with them through local beekeeping associations.
-Quality honey requires a lot of effort and love, but it is an even bigger challenge to find buyers for larger quantities. I delivered 300 kilograms of honey to the Company SERBIA ZIJIN COPPER and I am very satisfied with the purchase price. This project will encourage greater honey production, and the next delivery will be from another beekeeper from Bor or the surrounding area – said the president of the Slatina Beekeepers’ Association, Nebojša Buzej.
From the ESG Department of the Company, they say that the support program for local producers of honey and other agricultural products from all Bor villages will be guaranteed as a safe market and a good price, and subcontractor companies will also join this project.
