Tulips blossomed in the circle of TIR
The flower that changed the world
TIR – Thirty thousand tulip bulbs that the Ecology Department of Serbia Zijin Copper planted at the beginning of November in the vicinity of the Smelter and Refinery, have blossomed these days and made the area between the desulphurization plant and the new electrolysis seem like a fairy tale. On about 4,000 square meters of green area, multi-colored buds blossomed, so the TIR industrial circle looks like a real botanical garden. There is also a new summer house, to make the spring picture more complete.
The tulip is said to be the flower that changed the world. The field of tulips in the “heart” of the Bor Smelter Plant symbolizes the re-industrialization of metallurgical capacities, the application of world standards and modern technologies, but also the company’s desire for Bor to become a green, low-carbon and sustainable base of non-ferrous metals in Serbia, as well as in Europe.
Tulips, as it is said, symbolize rebirth and positive changes. The flower buds are perfectly symmetrical, and there are over 150 types of tulips with an incredible 3,000 varieties.
In the circle of TIR, pink tulips predominate, but red and yellow tulips also compete for the title of the most beautiful.
