Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of the People’s Republic of China visiting Serbia and Bor
The relevant ministry in China recognised the development of Zijin
Mr Zhuang Shaoqin encouraged the management of the Zijin subsidiaries in Bor to integrate business with the local community and pay special attention to the concept of sustainable development in the areas of environment, social responsibility and corporate governance
SZC. – Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of the People’s Republic of China, Mr Zhuang Shaoqin, and his associates visited (on December 19) two Zijin companies operating in Bor. It was his first visit to Serbia, so the management of Serbia Zijin Copper and Serbia Zijin Mining organised a presentation of the companies and portfolio of results and plans for the said delegation of high-ranking officials.
The Deputy Minister of Natural Resources recognised the development of the Zijin’s subsidiaries in Serbia and suggested to them the importance of management according to the BRI model. In the year marking the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI, or B&R), Mr Zhuang Shaoqin, pointed out the importance of building global infrastructure among member countries in accordance with the goals of the initiative (policy coordination, capital allocation, infrastructure connectivity, trade facilitation and human connections). In this regard, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of China encouraged the management of the Zijin subsidiaries to integrate business with the local community and pay special attention to the concept of sustainable development in the areas of environment, social responsibility and corporate governance (ESG).
As part of the visit to Serbia Zijin Copper, the six-member delegation of high-ranking Chinese officials visited the “Veliki Krivelj” Mine and its dispatch centre.
