BELGRADE. – The President of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vučić, met (on February 16) with representatives of the Chinese company Zijin and its subsidiary in Serbia, the company of Serbia Zijin Copper, and he rated the discussion they had as excellent.
Mr. Vučić posted photos from the meeting on his Instagram account “Future of Serbia AV” and wrote that numerous issues of mutual interest were discussed.

We talked about numerous issues of mutual interest, and particularly about the projects of accelerated exploitation of precious metals that will further strengthen the economic development of Serbia and develop Bor, Majdanpek, Kladovo, Negotin, Zaječar even more, as well as the entire east of our country. We also considered plans for capacity expansion and additional investment in air pollution reduction systems. This will make Serbia Zijin Copper one of the leaders in environmental protection“, wrote the President of Serbia.
The talks were attended by the delegation of the Zijin Mining Group led by the CEO Mr.Chen Jinghe and the management of the company Serbia Zijin Copper, the Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Mrs. Chen Bo and her colleagues, the Prime Minister Mrs. Ana Brnabić, the Minister of Mining and Energy Mrs. Dubravka Djedović, President of the National Council for the Coordination of Cooperation with Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, Mr.Tomislav Nikolić and the Mayor of Bor, Mr. Aleksandar Milikić.
