Zijin provides scholarships to the best students of grammar schools and secondary vocational schools in Bor district
One hundred scholarship users will receive 700 dollars a year from Zijin until 2029
In the next eight years, 50 pupils from Bor, 20 from Majdanpek, 20 from Negotin and 10 from Kladovo will receive a one-time scholarship. – The project for financial assistance to education is implemented jointly by Serbia Zijin Copper and Serbia Zijin Mining, which will annually allocate 35,000 dollars for this purpose
ZIJIN. – According to the plan for awarding “Zijin” scholarships, which the parent Chinese company has been implementing starting from the beginning of this year as part of the project for financial assistance to education, 100 scholarships will be awarded to grammar school and secondary vocational school pupils with the excellent average grade in Bor district every year by 2029. The same plan defines that 50 pupils from Bor, 20 from Majdanpek, 20 from Negotin and 10 from Kladovo will receive a one-time scholarship in the amount of 700 dollars.
The entire project is worth 560,000 dollars, will last eight years and will be realized by Serbia Zijin Copper and Serbia Zijin Mining jointly. Both companies will allocate $35,000 each within their annual budgets for the development of local communities for this purpose until 2029.
The companies will not be responsible for the selection of scholarship users as they will be chosen by the schools themselves according to established criteria. Zijin scholarship users should certainly achieve exceptional results in the fields of art, sports, science, technology and culture, so anyone who has achieved excellent results in competitions in various fields, as well as those who are outstanding in sports, design, dancing, painting, playing musical instruments, patenting, scientific and research work, writing, oratory, knowledge of foreign languages, making sculptures and photographs can apply for the scholarship. The schools will guarantee that the documentation is valid and that the selected students are the best in one of these fields, and the selection of the scholarship users will be made every year a week before October 20.
After that, in late October or early November, Serbia Zijin Copper and Serbia Zijin Mining will organize a one-time scholarship awarding ceremony for school representatives, scholarship winners and their friends and family.
