Jobs for 200 to 300 new employees

SZC. – Serbia Zijin Copper continues this year with good practice of maintaining long-term and mutually beneficial relationships with local communities where it operates through employment, training, and education support. The attitude of the Company and the desire to build an efficient, successful, and safe Bor and Majdanpek in cooperation with the employees place people on a pedestal as it is the employees with their experience and expertise who are the most important for production, around which the story and business revolve. Therefore, under the slogan “The future is you!”, Serbia Zijin Copper participated in the Employment Fair, which was organized by the Bor Branch of the National Employment Service (May 12) on the upper floor of the sports center “Bobana Momcilovic Velickovic“.

Serbia Zijin Copper has excellent cooperation with Bor high schools and the Technical Faculty and supports the education of young talented people, primarily of technical professions, some of which also conduct professional practice in the Company. A lot of knowledge and talents of young people can be applied in the Company, therefore, the goal is to give them a chance so that the educated and professional people can stay in Serbia and build their future there.

This year’s Employment Fair was attended by 25 employers, mostly from Bor, who offered over 450 vacancies. The biggest crowd, as expected, was at the stands of the Chinese companies Serbia Zijin Copper and Serbia Zijin Mining as well as their subcontractors.

In three and a half years, Serbia Zijin Copper employed more than 2,100 new, mostly young employees, so the age structure of employees was reduced from 45 and a half to 39 and a half. Today, the Company employs over 6,000 workers who earn more than 100,000 dinars a month on average. The net average salary is about 54 percent higher than the national average.
